These Terms of Service govern the moving services Ambitious Movers provides in Washington, DC and the surrounding Maryland and Virginia areas. By booking with us, you agree to the terms below.
Estimates and Binding Quotes
A local estimate is based on the home size, access, and inventory you describe to us or that we observe during an in-person or video walkthrough. Local moves are priced as flat bands or by the hour, as stated on your written estimate. Long-distance moves are issued as a binding written quote: the price holds as long as the inventory and the locations do not change. If what you are moving changes before move day, we will reprice it in writing before loading.
Deposit and Cancellation
A $160 deposit holds your date on our calendar and is applied to your final total. If you cancel with reasonable notice, we will refund the deposit; cancellations on short notice or no-shows on move day may forfeit it, since the slot was reserved for you. We will always tell you the cutoff when you book.
Liability and Valuation
Released-value protection is included at no charge at $0.60 per pound per article, which is the standard basic coverage. Full-value protection, which covers the repair or replacement value of an item, is available for an added charge and must be selected before your move. Up to $1,000,000 of cargo coverage applies per shipment. Any claim must be filed in writing without undue delay.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any dispute arising from our services will be handled under District of Columbia law. Ambitious Movers holds US DOT and MC authority and a District of Columbia Basic Business License, and is bonded and insured.
